Hayden’s Hope Foundation is now accepting applications from pediatric oncology families in Southwestern Ontario requiring financial support.

There are TWO categories of funding available:

  1. FAMILY TRAVEL SUPPORTS

  2. MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT FOR PARENTS/CAREGIVERS

FAMILY TRAVEL SUPPORTS

WHO WE FUND:

  • Pediatric oncology families living in Southwestern Ontario who are travelling away from their home hospital for CAR T-cell therapy or bone marrow transplant

  • Pediatric oncology families living in Southwestern Ontario who show a one-time exceptional need (determined on an adhoc basis by the HHF Team)

 WHAT WE FUND:

  • Costs associated with living away from home up to $1000 annually e.g. Ronald MacDonald House, hotel, groceries, parking, food vouchers

  • Access to volunteers to run errands in London, Toronto, Windsor and Mount Forest areas e.g. grocery pick-up

HOW TO APPLY:

  • Complete this short, confidential form. It will be reviewed by the HHF Team and the applicant will be contacted by phone or email within 48 hours.  If a request is urgent, please contact lindsay@haydenshopefoundation.com.

  • Once supports are confirmed, the HHF Team will coordinate with the applicant to access resources.


MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS SUPPORTS FOR PARENTS & CAREGIVERS

WHO WE FUND:

  • Pediatric oncology parents & caregivers* living in Southwestern Ontario accessing mental health and wellness supports.

  • $500 is available per eligible family per year.

 WHAT WE FUND:

  • Mental health supports including psychologists and clinical counselling

  • General health & wellness costs including physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, gym membership, etc.

  • Adhoc supports as needed (contact HHF to discuss)

HOW TO APPLY:

  • Complete this short, confidential form. It will be reviewed by the HHF Team and the applicant will be contacted by phone or email within 48 hours.  If a request is urgent, please contact lindsay@haydenshopefoundation.com.

  • Once approved and services are received, receipts for approved costs should be emailed to Hayden's Hope Foundation within 7 days of receipt of funds.

* For the purposes of funding, a caregiver is defined as an immediate family member who regularly looks after or supports the child
