WHY I’M INVOLVED IN HHF: Since Jamie was diagnosed in August 2016, my heart and soul has been forever linked to childhood cancer and the families that endure it. I know what it’s like first hand and I want to make it better for families in any way I can - it will make my heart happy. And I’m here to support Lindsay - I believe in her.

WHY I’M INVOLVED IN HHF: In the last year, I’ve seen some pretty amazing women lose their children. If there is anything anyone can do that can help ease that pain, they should help. When a family is hurting, we need to step in and support them. I don’t want to just be tech person who says my heart is breaking for someone, I want to be able to say I tried to make a difference.

WHY I’M INVOLVED IN HHF: It goes without saying that it is an absolute honour to be part of something so special and to help carry on sweet Hayden’s legacy. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of meeting and caring for real-life superheroes every day. My job gave me a huge sense of pride and every day I was inspired by these incredibly brave kids and their families. I am passionate, driven and ready to continue to raise awareness and fight childhood cancer on a much larger scale!

WHY I’M INVOLVED IN HHF: I grew up with Lindsay and Jodie and both of these girls were my role models growing up. My daughter was born just a few months apart from Hayden. I remember reading about her diagnosis and my heart broke into a thousand pieces. I immediately organized a fundraiser, and then the town-wide Hearts for Hayden event. This family is always on my mind and I want to do anything to help them and others going through this!

WHY I’M INVOLVED IN HHF: I have a personal connection to both Hayden and childhood cancer. I had the honour of being Hayden’s kindergarten teacher at St. Marguerite D’Youville. I am also the mom of a childhood cancer survivor. My son was diagnosed with AML in 1996 and is now a healthy 30 year old man thanks to the wonderful care he received. I know first hand how important it is to support families and search for a cure.
